The Center for Democracy and Human Rights - CEDEM, in cooperation with TV Prva, organized training on: "The Role of Journalists in Criminal Cases and Reporting on Judicial Bodies" on December 6-7 at the PREMIER Hotel in Podgorica. The training was aimed at representatives of the media and the civil sector, who recognized the importance of it and responded in significant numbers.
The training is part of the project "Strengthening the Role of the Media in the Advancement of Criminal Justice in Montenegro" funded through the European Union Media Professionalization Program. The aim of the project is to strengthen media capacities in Montenegro for reporting on criminal justice, by increasing the quality and credibility of investigative journalism in accordance with the standards of the European Union and the Council of Europe, as well as the Code of Journalists of Montenegro.
The lecturer, Elina Makri, presented the most important criminal cases in the EU and the role of journalists in them, with particular emphasis on reporting.
