CEDEM presented today the publication "Confiscation and management of crime assets in Montenegrin legislation and practice". The publication has been prepared within the project Facilitating Judicial Reform: Support the fight against organized crime, which is supported by the U.S. Embassy in Montenegro.

Minister of Justice, Mr. Dusko Markovic, met with representatives of CSOs involved in the area of judiciary: Human Rights Action, Centre for Democracy and Human Rights (CEDEM), Centre for Civic Education, tCentre for Monitoring, European Movement in Montenegro, 4Life, Civic Alliance, Helsinki Committee for Human rights in Montenegro and the Institute Alternative.
The booklet "Being a woman in the Balkans" is the final product of the project "Women for Economy," and a collection of ten essays, which contain individual views and experiences of young people from the Western Balkans, about barriers which women face in employment and advancement in their careers. Conference “Women Perspectives in the Labor Market in the Balkans”, in which the publication is presented, was held on 1 March 2013 in Prishtina.
NGO Coalition for the monitoring of the accession negotiations in the Chapter 23, recently sent over 200 requests concerning judiciary and fundamental rights to the newly constituted Government of Montenegro.
In cooperation with AIRE Centre from London and Judicial Training Centre of Montenegro, CEDEM organized seminar titled "Protecting the right to privacy". The seminar is supported by Royal Norwegian Embassy in Belgrade and British Embassy in Podgorica. The activity was organized in Kolasin under the project "Supporting Montenegro's integration into the EU: Supporting judicial reform."
