CEDEM held the final workshop within the program of the School of gender and security sector reform on 10-11 May in Budva. The workshop was opened by the Executive Director of CEDEM, Nenad Koprivica, and coordinator of the program, Dženita Brcvak.
During the last block, the attendants had the opportunity to talk with Tanja Tripović, Acting Director of the Police Academy in Danilovgrad, Maja Bjeloš, researcher of Belgrade Centre for Security Policy, Sanja Pejovic, first female leutenant in the Army of Montenegro and Snežana Jonica, Member of the Parliament of Montenegro.
Through dialogue with the lecturers and practical exercises, participants learnt more about the status and education of women in the police, military and politics. The next step within the School is writing and submitting essays on gender and security sector reform, which will serve as a verification tool, but also a prerequisite for the of certificate award. In addition to the participants, the workshop was, also, attended by CEDEM's researche Emir Kalač.
